When I plug long durations, I lose lube when I fart with the plug in. In private I just tuck a towel in but it's a problem in public. The plug holder does a great job catching lube, and definitely helps keep the plug in place, especially when exercising with it in. In addition, I designed and printed my own chastity cage, and modified the ring and printed a new one to use here instead of the cock ring. This does an excellent job as a chastity cage strap, and helps incentivize me to keep using it with the plug as a motivator. I accidentally pulled a strap off a rivet, mistaking it for a stuck snap, but was able to squeeze it back on. Definitely happy with it.
